Bass / Vocals

MMike SanSoucie, along with being just plain silly, is the band's bassist/vocalist. He comes to Smash Radio having toured with such acts as Danny and the Juniors, the late Del Shannon, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Classics IV, The Dovells, The Tymes, and Big Edsel.

Mike started out playing trumpet in school and switched to playing upright bass in high school. His older brother, himself a guitarist, was instrumental in Mike's picking up the electric. Mike's musical influences vary from rock to classical to funk, his favorites including the Beatles, Yes, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, James Jamerson, Larry Graham, Marcus Miller, Ron Carter, and Tower of Power.

On stage Mike plays a driving bass, locking in with Bob (the band’s drummer) to create a tight rhythm section. Off stage he enjoys cooking, coca cola, and long walks in the ocean. Mike joined Smash Radio in 2005.
